A child’s self-confidence and high self-esteem are vital to enable them to learn effectively. This Module enables pupils to consider personal strengths and achievements and develop strategies for coping with challenges through:
> discussion of self-esteem and how it can be raised or lowered
> reflecting on their current level of self-esteem and the reasons for it and thinking about how family members can help to raise self- esteem
> reflecting on their recent achievements and thinking about positive characteristics of other group members
> considering statements about self-esteem and deciding whether they are true or false
