Criminal Investigation is a TEKS aligned, only adopted program introducing the profession of criminal investigations.
Students will learn basics of criminal investigations, how to investigate and follow up. They learn terminology and investigative procedures related to criminal investigation, crime scene processing, evidence collection, fingerprinting, and the courtroom situation.
Case studies and simulated crime scenes allow students to collect and analyze evidence such as blood spatter, fingerprint analysis, bodily fluids, hairs, fibers, shoe and tire impressions, firearms and ammunition, bite marks, drugs, tool marks and digital evidence, as well as other types of evidence.
